Theresienstadt is a historic site like no other. It was a garrison town, a Gestapo prison, a transit camp of the Holocaust – and, at the same time, a propaganda project presented to the world as a self-governing Jewish town. Understanding how all of these could be true at once is what this day is about.

This is not an easy place to visit, and it shouldn’t be. But it is one of the most important days you can spend in this country, and visitors consistently tell me it was the most meaningful part of their trip. My job is to give the place its full context – the history, the individual lives, the music composed behind its walls – with the care the subject deserves.

Why we go by train

We travel the way most of Theresienstadt’s prisoners did: by rail from Prague. The journey itself is part of the history – the same landscape, the same approach. It also happens to be the practical choice: comfortable, reliable, and it means your guide is with you the entire day, not a driver waiting in a parking lot. I handle all tickets and connections; you just show up at the station.
